How many washes do I get?
Sixty. Each 32 fl oz / 946 mL tin is a concentrated formula, so one capful is a full load — that works out to roughly $0.80 a wash.
How is this different from ordinary detergent?
Most detergent cleans the surface of the fabric and perfumes what's left. Sweat and body oil sink deeper than that, into the core of the fibre, which is where the smell restarts the moment you warm up. KINHOUSE uses protease and lipase enzymes that break that residue down where it actually sits, so there's nothing left to reactivate.
What's in it?
Plant-derived surfactants, protease and lipase enzymes, and micro-encapsulated fragrance oils. No phthalates, no dyes, no optical brighteners, no sulfates.
Is it gentle on sensitive skin?
That's what the formula is built around. Optical brighteners and sulfates are the two ingredients most often behind irritation from laundry, and neither is in here. If you have a diagnosed skin condition or a known allergy, check the full ingredient list against it before you switch.
Is the scent too strong?
No. The scent is composed rather than loud. The notes hold through the wash and release as you move, staying low and close to the cloth. It's the kind of scent someone catches standing next to you, not across the room. And if you'd rather wear nothing at all, Scentless is the same clean with nothing added.
Using it
How much do I use?
One capful to the drawer or straight into the drum, then run your usual cycle. It's concentrated, so more won't clean better — it will just use up the tin faster.
Will it work in my machine?
Yes. HE and standard machines both, hot or cold. Cold is fine — the enzymes are chosen to work at low temperatures, which is also better for your clothes and your power bill.
Can I use it on activewear and delicates?
Yes to both. Activewear is what it's built for — synthetics hold odour more stubbornly than cotton. For delicates, use your machine's delicate cycle as you normally would.
Will it strip the colour out of my clothes?
No. There are no optical brighteners, which are the additives that make whites look whiter by depositing a fluorescing residue, and no dyes of our own to transfer.
